Despite over 42,000 replies to the government's consultation on the culling of badgers in 2006 - with over 96% being against the killing of badgers - our government is still considering killing badgers. In fact the Welsh Assembley has agreed to a badger cull despite scientific research ( at the cost of the lives of 10,000 badgers ) has proved that culling plays no part in the control of bovine TB in cattle. There is a very real danger that snaring and gassing will be allowed to kill badgers - we need to fight this 'Silent Killer in the Countryside'
